This season Coolers & thirst quenchers of all types will be loved. It's Summer here in India, it's very hot & sunny. I was puzzled on what to write as my next post for you guys. Apparently the heat & quench for thirst led me to this instant refresher !!
I made Lemon mint cooler in jiffy, as I could no longer withstand the heat outside. It's very easy to prepare & you can also store it in a bottle for a day or two. Carry to your workplace as well, but tastes refreshing when you pop ice cubes into it.
You can alternatively use Lime, I couldn't get it here. Hence replaced lemons with lime. So here's the recipe.
Makes for : 4 glasses
Duration : under 10 minutes
Ingredients :
Lemons : 2 (big)
Mint (Pudhina) - crushed or ground into a paste : few sprigs
Note : If you grind mint into paste, ensure to strain it before adding to the lemon juice.
Sugar : 6 tbsps (alternatively you can also use sugarfree or omit)
Salt : 1/2 tsp
Water : 4 glasses
Ice cubes
Method :
1. In a pitcher, squeeze 2 lemons
2. Add water, required sugar & salt. Mix well until the sugar dissolves
3. To it, add the crushed mint or paste (however you like it, here in this recipe I have added crushed mint 'cos I love the crunchiness of the fresh mint)
4. Stir well, add the ice cubes or refrigerate in the freezer for 10 minutes.
Serve chilled
Isn't it really easy on a hot summer?!?
Try it & let us know how refreshing it was.
