Samosa is a pastry with spicy filling which can be baked or deep fried .Samosa is street food in India , a samosa and good coffee on a rainy day , its divine. If you are health conscious you can bake the samosa, though it looks difficult its easy if we follow steps, firstly prepare fillings, make the base and then bake it or fry it.
Ingredients:
For the base sheet:
1 cup of flour
1/2 cup of water
2 tbsp of oil+ melted butter
salt for taste
Fillings:
3-4large potatoes , boiled .
1/2 cup of peas
1 tsp of ginger + garlic paste
1 -2 green chilli(according to own taste), seed pitted
1 tsp of cumin
1 tsp of amachur powder
1 tsp of corriander powder
For SEALING:
1 tbsp of all purpose flour
2 tbsp of water
Method;
Ingredients:

1/2 cup of water

1 tsp of ginger + garlic paste

1 tsp of cumin

1 tsp of corriander powder

1 tbsp of all purpose flour
2 tbsp of water
Method;
For base sheet:
- Combine flour, salt, oil, water to make a dough
- Knead well
- Leave it for half an hour
For Filling:
- Boil potatoes and cut them into cubes.
- Heat oil in skillet, add cumin once it crackles add ginger garlic paste, cook it for a mintue.
- Tip in peas and stir in well.
- Now add potatoes stir well.
- Add dry powders and cook for 2- 3 minutes
- Garnish it with chopped corriander leaves
SAMOSA:
- Mix allpurpose flour in 2 tbsp of water and make it to a paste
- Divide the dough into small balls
- Roll the dough to flat bread, not too thick , nor too light
- Cut the bread into two halves
- fold the semi circle to a cone
- Brush the paste alongside of the cone
- Scoop the filling into the cone and seal it.
- Heat the oil and deep fry it, till it becomes brown.
- ALTERNATIVELY preheat the oven 180 degree for 10 minutes and bake it for half an hour in 180degress.
