I am presenting you all a simple sweet dish - Arisi Payasam, an easy payasam prepared this for Ugadi, since then its my hubby's favourite.

Ingredients :

Milk - 4 cups (1 litre)
Rice - 1/4 cup
Sugar - 1/4 cup
Cardamom Powder - 1/4 tsp
Raisins - 6 to 7
Cashew nuts - 5 to 6
Almonds - 5 to 6

Method :

1. Wash and soak rice in water for 20 minutes
2. Meanwhile, in a pan add ghee, fry cashews, raisins, almonds in ghee and set aside
3. Boil Milk and add the soaked rice (drain the water) and cook it in slow flame stirring it often to prevent burning it in the bottom
4. When rice is cooked, mash it slightly and add the sugar
5. When sugar dissolves, add cardamom powder, raisins, cashews and almonds.

Rice Kheer is ready to be served hot or cold. Isn't this easy ?!? Do try it and give us your feedback.

DIVI !!
