Kunuku
Kunuku is a evening snack .It goes well with a filter coffee in a rainy day. this method I learnt from MIL
Ingridents
1 cup channa dhal
1/2 cup toor dhal
1/2 tbsp of urud dhal
1 tbsp of raw rice
2 tsp of grated ginger
curry leaves
salt to taste
1 tsp of hing
1 green chilli
2 red chili
oil to deep fry
M ethod:
- Soak the dhal and rice for 2 hours
- Wet grind the dhal mixture with ginger, chiilies to little coarsly. but not too watery or too coarse
- let it be to vada consistency
- Now fold in the curry leaves, hing, salt
- Make it into balls
- Heat the oil and deep fry the balls.
Note:\
If you want less spicy you can add only red chillies
If you want you can add 1 tbsp of chopped onion and 1 tsp of fennel seeds for more taste
If the ball breaks then its wrong with the consistency, if its too watery add some rice flour to it.
