Lemon rasam
Ingridents:
Tomatoes 2
green chillies 3
toor dhal 1/2 cup
ginger 1 inch
lemon -1
salt to taste
Tadka:
mustard 1tsp
oil 1 tsp
hing a pinch
green chilli 1
curry leaves - 1 tsp
Method:
- Pressure cook 1 cup of toor dhal and mash it.
- Boil tomatoes with green chillies slit , pinch of turmeric powder and salt.
- Add cut ginger to the above
- Let it boil for 1 or two minutes till the raw smell is gone.
- Now mash the toor dhal and add it the boiling rasam with some water .
- Heat t tsp of oil add mustard, let it splatter then add chilli,hing, some curry leaves
- Once you switched off the rasam and its cooled then add squezeed lemon juice .
Serve with hot rice.
