Pulav/Pilaf

Vegetable pulav

Its the easiest variety rice , moreover, less spicy and colourful for kids lunch box.It can be accompanied with simple raita , paneer masala.

ingredients

BAsmathi rice 1 cup
Cut vegetabes  1 cup
onion 1
Green chiili 2
Ginger - garlic paste  1 tsp

Milk 1/2 cup
Salt to taste

To Temper

Cardomon- 2
Cloves- 2
Cinnamon stick - 1
Kapok buds-1
Oil/butter 2 tbsp

Method

  1. Heat in the oil/ butter and add the temper , then add the chopped onion cook till its translucent.Now add the ginger - garlic paste and chili.
  2. Tip in the cut vegetable and fry it for a minute.
  3. Now add  water and milk and tip the rice.
  4. Cook it in low flame for 15 mins.. Make sure its isnt overcooked.
Serve it with raita or panner masala.
