Aloo paratha/ wheat bread with potato fillings

 Alloo parantha / paratha is roti( wheat bread) with mashed potato fillings. Its famous North Indian  breads.



 Ingredients:
 For bread:
2 cup of flour
1 cup of water
salt to taste

For filling:

1 cup of mashed potato
1 tsp of dry mango powder
1 tsp of cumin
1 tsp of garam masala
2 green chillies chopped(alternatively you can green c hilli paste)

Method:

DOUGH:

  •  For dough mix flour, water, salt and make it to a soft dough.
  • Knead the dough nicely and leave it to rest for atleast for 20 minutes.
Filling:

  1. Boil and mash the potatoes.
  2. Mix in amachur,cumin,garam masala,salt and divide into balls





PARATHA:






  1. Now divide the dough and filling into small  balls.
  2. Now take small ball of the dough and roll into 2 inch round flat bread.

  1. Place the mashed potaotes in the centre and wrap the dough( like the dumplings)and roll it again into flat bread.
  2. Heat the tava and and when the bread begin to change color  brush some butter then flipit and cook the other side also.(Keep in simmer and cook as the filling should also cook)
  3. Once both the sides are cooked(turns light brown) serve with butter.
