Rava dosa/ semolina crepes/ sooji dosa

                 When we go to the restaurants my Mom would order this rava dosa , it was her favorite  as well as my hubby's. My sis does good rava dosa. This is a small trick in making rava special, the dough should be more watery than the usual dosa dough and you should pour the dough from edges of the tava to middle and spread it.This is the best dosa and comes handy to make when you have friends and you dont have the usual dough as we dont have to ferment it for a day. We can mix all the ingredients , leave for 1 hour and it is ready to use.


Ingredients:

1 cup of rava/semolina
1/2 cup rice flour
1/4 cup maida
 2 tbsp of curd
 2 cups of water
1 tsp of cumin
1 tsp of hing
1/2 tsp of pepper
oil to spray for dosa

Method:

  • Combine all the ingredients and mix well till there are no lumps.
  • See to the dough is more watery than usual dough
  • Heat the dosa tava spray some oil and pour a ladle of dough from edges to the center.
  • Spray some oil on the edges.
  • once the facing side becomes brown, flip it and cook it.
Now its ready to serve with chutney, sambar.
