Basic sponge cake

   






Serves: 5 Cooking time: 25 minutes Preparation time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:
 3 eggs
 200 gms of unsalted butter
 200 gms of self -raising flour
 200 gms granulated sugar
 juice sequzeed from 1/2 lemon
 1 tsp of vanilla essence
 2 tsp of orange zest

Method:
Prehea the oven in 200degrees
Seperate egg white and yolk.
Beat egg white till soft peak.
Add sugar, melted butter, orange zest, orange juice to yolk.Beat im medium speed till its creamy.
Now fold in egg white.
Seive flour and fold  it to the egg mixture little by little(dont beat it)with spatula.
Pour the mixture to the greased cake tin.
Bake it for 20 minutes in 200deg.
