Ingredients:
2 cups medium flattened rice/avaal
1 1/2 cup sugar
water 2-2 1/2 cups
cardamom powder : 1tsp
kesari color/orange food color: 1 tsp
ghee 1-2 tbsp
raisins 3 tsp
Method:
- Add 1 tbsp of ghee in a pan and fry the raisins, and keep it aside for garnishing
- In the same pan add the flattened rice and toss for 30 seconds in low flame, once its cooled make it to a coarse powder.
- And in a non-stick pan add water and sugar, stir till sugar dissolved.
- Add orange food color in the sugar syrup.
- Now add the coarsely powdered avaal/flattened rice.
- Keep stirring, once it starts to get thickening add ghee and stir it well.
- Switch it off once you get the consistency.(it wouldn't tick to the pan )
- Garnish it with raisins and serve it.
