Sagoo kheer/ Jaavarisi payasam/ sabudhana payasam




Sagoo payasam is the easiest one of all the kheer. Time consumed in making this payasam depends on the type of sagoo used, if thin type is used soaking time will be less.



Ingredients:
1 cup sagoo
1/4 cup sugar
2 1/2 cups of condensed milk(condense 4 cup of milk to 2 cups)
1 tbsp of raisins, pistachio, almonds
1 tbsp of ghee

Method:

  •  Soak the sagoo in a cup of water for an hour and then drain the water once the sagoo becomes soft.
  • Boil the sagoo in milk stirring occasionally, see it to that it doesn't touch the vessel.Cook in simmer
  • Meanwhile add ghee in a pan and fry the raisins and almond.
  • Stir the sagoo once it is cooked add sugar to it stirring.(BE careful it may curdle)
  • Now cook for a minute and garnish it with fried raisins, almond and chopped pistachios.
