Palak paneer/ Cottage cheese in spinach gravy

Palak paneer is a favorite gravy- made with pureed spinach with cottage cheese/paneer - accompaniment with rice or wheat breads(roti).To make it rich gravy we can add fresh cream , but if you are weight watchers you can skip that step. Lets get cooking..
                                     

Ingredients:

     1 cup spinach
     3/4 cup of cubed paneer
     1 1/2 onion chopped
     1 tomato
     1 tsp of cumin seeds
      1 tsp of garam masala
     2 garlic minced
     1 tbsp of ghee/oil
    salt to taste

Method :




  •     Blanch palak  (spinach) and puree it.
  •  Combine onion, tomato, garlic in a mixer and whilst it(make it to a paste)
  •    Heat oil /ghee in a kadai and add cumin wait until it splatters   .
  •                      
  • Add the onion-tomato paste and cook for 2-3 minutes, till the raw smell disappears.
  • Add salt , garam masala cook in simmer for a minute.
  •                       
  • Now add the palak puree, stir and cook for 1 minute.
  • Tip in cubed paneer and cook for a minute and serve it.
  •                        
  •  Serve with rice or roti.
  •
