Ragada patties

Ragada patties as the name suggest , its has potato patties topped with sev, onion, tomato , green chutney(mint+ corriander), sweet chutney and peas masala/ curry.



Ingredients:

For Curry:

 Green/whit peas/ Green mung dal: 1 cup
 onion : 1 chopped
 Tomato: 1-2 chopped
 Ginger -Garlic paste: 2 tsp
 Red chilli powder: 1 tsp
 Garam masala powder: 1 tsp
Coriander powder: 1 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder: 1 tsp
Dry mango powder: 1/2 tsp
 salt to taste
oil : 2-3 tsp


For Chat:
Potato patties: 3
Onion: 1/2 chopped
Toamto: 1 chopped
Green chutney: 1 tbsp
Sweet chutney: 1 tbsp-
Sev: 1/4 cup
Chat masala: 1 tsp

Method:


  • Soak the peas/ Green mung dal for 3-4 hours , then boil it .
  • For patties  , boil potato , add frozen peas, spices, salt and make it to patties and fry it in oil.
  • Heat the kadai  add oil once its gets hot add onion, cook till translucent.

  • Then add garlic, tomato, salt cook for minute.
  • Now add the spices and cook till the oil oozes, add the boiled peas and add some water , so the peas wouldnt burn.
  • Cook for 1-2 minute till all blends  and switch it off.
  • In a plate, place 2 patties , pour  peas curry , top them with chopped onion, sweet chutney, green chutney, sprinkle sev, chat masala. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve.

Note:

  • I have used green sprouted moong dal for curry, you can use frozen peas too.
  • Measurement of sweet chutney and green chutney according to their taste.
