In bangalore there are many Sagar hotels and most of them serve tomato bath,chow chow bath, bisebelabath ,kadabu idli in the morning . Its easy to cook and good for the lunch box too...
Ingredients:
7-8 tomatoes
2 large onions
1 1/2 tsp ginger -garlic paste
half inch cinnamon quills
2 cloves
1 tsp of saunf
2 bay leaves
2 sprig of mint leaves
2-3 green chilli
1 1/2 cup basmati rice
3 cups of water
1 tbsp of oil
1 tbsp of butter
salt as required

Method:
- Heat oil add 2 tsp of oil add 1 chopped onion, 3 tomatoes, saunf, cinnamon,1 clove , chilli and saute them.Grind it to paste adding mint leaves .
- In a large skillet / pressure cooker heat add butter+ remaining oil , add ginger -garlic paste, saute them,add cloves,bay leaves.
- Tip in remaining chopped tomatoes and saute them.Now add the grinded paste, stir them well, add water,salt.
- Tip in rice and close the lid , cook in simmer till the rice is cooked well.
- Serve with onion raita(onion mixed with yogurt).
Note:
- If cooking in a saucepan/skillet add rice once the water comes to boiling point.
- If cooking in cooker , switch off after two whistles.
