Poondu kuzlambu/ Garlic kuzlambu

Indian cooking uses lots of garlic, especially in curries paired with ginger, kuzlambu, bread , in stir fries(poriyal), it's

                 
                 


Ingredients:
 2 tbsp of oil
4 tsp of sambar podi
1/4 tsp of turmeric powder
tamrind a small ball, lemon size
10 small onion
10 garlic cloves
1  hot red chilli
1 tsp of coriander seeds
1 tsp of methi seeds
1/4 tsp of hing
2 sprigs of curry leaves


Method:

  • Soak tamrind in a cup of water for 20-25 minutes and extract juice .
  •                          
  • Heat the oil add red chilli, methi seed, coriander seeds.
  •                             
  • Add peeled garlic, onion , and cook for a minute.
  •                                
  • Now add in sambar powder,  and stir it well, add the tamarind juice, salt, turmeric powder.
  •                                   
  • Cook till it gets thickened.
  • GArnish with curry leaves.
  •                                                 
  • Serve with rice, dosa.
