Litchi like Mangoes and sapota tastes good when eaten plain. However you can make milkshakes, smoothies, and ice creams with them. This drink is ideal for summers or monsoon when you want to relish a sipping drink, accompanied with background music or a book in your hand.
Ingredients :
Litchis / Lychees - 13-15 nos.
Water - 3 cups at room temperature or chilled
Lemon - 1/2 (extract the juice) or 1 med sized lemon
Sugar / cane sugar - as required
A few mint leaves / lemon slices - for garnish
Ice cubes - few nos (optional)
Method :
1. Peel the leathery skin off litchis and de-seed the fruit with your hand
2. Add them to a blender and puree it. Few ungrounded pieces are fine it will taste great too.
3. In a pitcher add water, sugar and lemon juice and stir until the sugar dissolves
3. Pour it in serving glasses and tip in the ice cubes.
Serve Chilled !!
